Not long ago, Tom Dawson returned home from the hospital to a very changed life. The radiation treatments he had been taking for throat cancer had caused his esophagus to close down and now needed to use a feeding tube for all his nutritional intake. Gratefully, Tom’s health was no longer in question or at risk from the cancer, but his life did change..no more chewing and swallowing.
The difficulty in gaining access to and using his feeding tube, made a very enjoyable part of Tom’s life awkward and difficult. He no longer felt at ease at meals with friends or even the social interaction that comes from meeting for coffee with buddies.
Being a thoughtful and inventive person, Tom came up with a way of overcoming this impediment. By the addition of a zipper to the mid-area of one of his shirts, he found that he could easily and discreetly access his feeding tube. This re-opened the door to sitting down to meals and drinks with others without embarrassment.
Thanks to this modification to his shirt, Tom can comfortably sit at a restaurant table and dine with family and friends, and enjoy the coffee and lively conversations at his local coffee shop.
He knew he had a good thing, and now Tom offers his innovative shirts, so that you too can dine out with dignity.
